Sister Helen is the author of Dead Man Walking and The Death of Innocents: An Eyewitness Account of Wrongful Executions. Susan Sarandon portrayed Sister Helen in the 1996 award-winning film Dead Man Walking.

Sister Helen PrejeanSister Helen examines how flaws inextricably entwined in the death penalty system inevitably lead to innocent people being executed. She is not only knowledgeable, committed and inspiring, she's also down to earth, funny and a thoroughly engaging speaker.
