Note: The following May 2001 CADP events were postponed, along with the execution of Timothy McVeigh.
Execution -- Not in Our Name
On May 16, 2001 at 9:00 a.m., Timothy McVeigh will be executed for his role in the Oklahoma City Bombing. You are invited to join with others in our secular and religious communities to silently stand in solidarity against all victims of individual and governmental violence.
We will stand in solidarity with the victims and family members of those killed in the bombing and with Timothy McVeigh and his family, who are also victims of our culture of violence.
You are asked to bring your family and friends to show that we stand firm in the belief that one act of violence does not justify another act of violence in a civilized and enlightened society.
