Letter from the CADP President
Dear CADP supporters,
During last year's election cycle, those of us against the death penalty in Colorado proposed and passed resolutions in precinct caucuses across the state calling for a study and moratorium of the death penalty. Several Democratic county conventions adopted resolutions calling for a study or moratorium leading to its ultimate inclusion in the State Democratic Party's platform. This is a direct result of the efforts of all of you who took this message to the grass roots level of our political system.
On February 11th, from 1 PM to 6 PM, CADP will hold a conference, Playing Politics -- A Moratorium in Colorado. The conference will explore the promotion of a study/moratorium in Colorado. Included with this letter is an enrollment form for Playing Politics. Please register now.
CADP has three new board members: Ann Aber, Gary Jackson and Greg Piche, bringing the board to eleven members. The other members are John Emelin, Karen Chaney, Denise Madden, Wendy Trafton, Vicki Mandel-King, Marshal Seufert, Nick Saia, and Don Bounds.
As you can see this is a newsy letter as opposed to a newsletter. CADP needs some volunteers to help us produce a quarterly newsletter. Volunteers should contact CADP.
Sincerely,
Don Bounds
President
